• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder has only 3000 miles on it, while riding to have state inspection, master cylinder broke open with a resulting $500 repair bill. Anyone else have this problem?

That's not a bad price. It's about $250 to $275 for the part and the labor and inspection. It's low mileage for a failure of that part, but the master cylinder was 5 years old. I have not seen or heard of this type of failure before.

Master cylinder

what model bike and year and why did it have to cost you, no warranty ???
Its a 2010 RS and the irony is that it was given to me by BRP to replace another Spyder (2007) that I ahd so much trouble with that I had to use a Lemon Law lawyer to get BRP's attention. The first Spyder was in the shop over 15 times, sometimes for weeks on end to correct one problem after another. The replacement was suppose to be covered for manufacturing defects but I am now involved in an another argument with them over what the shop mechanic said was a definite defect.

It's a 2010 with only 3000 miles on it. Hardly riden this year because of a knee replacement that kept me off it.

I though you had a 2008. Sorry.
