• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Many times using the search function will help a person that wants to Do some maintenance but there is not a good way to search for Maintenance Do Not. Also for Tips it is possible (sometimes) to find some assistance with the search function. I would like to start this tread (that perhaps someday could become a sticky) to assist in finding the Maintenance Do's, Do Not's,Tips and How To's.

But some times the hint is buried in a thread with many posts. If a thread has many post to it there is a short cut for the user to find the post in question. For example instead of stating

Post #14 http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...nt-Problem-amp-Question&p=1099971#post1099971

the person submitting the tip could go to the above link then left click on the #14 in the upper right hand of the original post and a new URL is shown in your address bar. Use this new URL shown below and the use is then taken directly to post in question.

An example of Do's would be one from billybovine to make sure that the reservoir caps are put on correctly after adding brake fluid.

An Example of Hint's would be like one from Lamononster for clearing hyper-flash turn signal.

An example of Do Not would be do not mix different types of coolant fluid (color?)

A thread, post or video may be a Do and a How To, or any combination. Please add to the list for all of us beginners. Thank You:)

I do not have an answer to your question. But having that said, I was hoping that this tread could be used by spyderlovers to post MAINTENANCE DO'S, DO NOT'S, TIPS, AND HINTS.
So if spyderlovers out there have some please post them here!

Beginning on pg 105 of msbabe's ST Operator's Guide is the complete maintenance maintenance for the vehicle which, inter alia, calls for oil and filter changees at 4,600 mile intervals.

Maintenance Hint: Give the Operator's Guide a scrutinizing squint.
