Maggie Valley to Lamonts

I know everyone is into Spyderfest right now, and I trust everyone will have a great time. However, for those of us who could not go, but plan to go to Maggie Valley in June. How far is it and what are the directions to get from Maggie Valley to Lamonts? We would love to leave Maggie Valley on Saturday morning and make it to Lamonts before heading home. Where would be a good place to stay after Lamonts? Sorry, not camping this trip. Thanks,

It's about an hour and a 1/2, fastest route. 68.3 miles per google maps from the Comfort Inn in Maggie Valley to Lamonts.

I live near Greeneville Ted, there is also a Hampton Inn there and a Jameson Inn that is renamed to a Quality Inn, a couple of hundred yards from the Hampton. Good resturants in walking distance as well. Mention the SpyderLovers BBQ and I believe they have special rates.
