• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LV visit

Was driving in LV/Henderson area on May 9th & passed an F3 with 2 oldies on it & a vanity plate "SCOOL". We were on East Lake Mead Parkway & Lakeshore Rd in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Asked him if he was a member of Spyderlovers - said no.

Anyone in that area seen an F3 with "SCOOL" vanity plate?

I don't recall that one. You should let us know before the visit, we like to meet up and have dinner or lunch with visitors.

That was very kind of you. We are, however, very shy people & were on a tight 10 day visit encompassing a large area of the SW.

Lone Pine, 29 Palms, Yuma, Tucson, Flagstaff & all the National Parks & Monuments around them. Lots of 105 degree days - phew.

You should have come up hwy.395 threw the Sierra Nevada mountains
All passes are open
Tioga pass to Yosemite
Sonora pass to central valley
Monitor Pass to Lake Tahoe
And weather has been around 70 degrees :yes::yes:

I can attest to the hospitality of the LV contingent. They treated us great when we were there for a visit.:bowdown::firstplace::firstplace:

I don't know that plate either, or any F3 that rides 2 up. Sounds like a possible customer and I will have to seek them out. :roflblack:

Glad to hear that you got to experience our beautiful Lake Mead National Recreation Area. It is my favorite place to ride and we love to take visitors there. As Highwayman said you should have let us know you were coming through and we would have met you for a meal. We are meeting Colin from the UK there on Tuesday.

Thanks for the suggestions.

This was just a quick visit for us as we found some cheap(er) airfares. Even Hertz came up with an Infiniti QX70.

We normally come for 4 weeks & have done Yosemite, those passes & Mono Lake many, many times. Last August in fact.

Off to the Pacific Northwest for 4 weeks in Aug/Sept.

You folks in the LV area are most generous.

We normally land in LV in the evening, pick up an SUV & head to our hotel. The next day is "always" spent around Lake Mead & The Valley of Fire SP. Beautiful road surfaces & outstanding views. The Mojave Preserve is our second day. I remember when the Kelso station was a derelict building but now is a visitor bldg. (glad of that). Death Valley for the 3rd day but lots of road damage this time.
