Kev's favorite thing to say is "It use to take me 5 minutes to get gas with the Honda, now it takes me 30 minutes with the Spyder."
Saturday made that statement come true. Only I think it got close to 45 minutes.
After a wonderful day riding with the MoGang from Cuba to Lake of the Ozarks, wonderful meal at Salty Dog... then off of the Go Kart Track. If you haven't seen the video watch it.
SpyderLady Linda, John, Kev and I headed home, north to I-70 via Hwy 54. Just on the north side of Jeff City we stopped for gas. A fellow biker, Harley rider, came up and asked "How do you like it?" Mine and Kev's immediate response was WE LOVE IT!! We ended up talking and showing them all the lights on our bike, Linda of course showed off her new Ultimate Seat, and John chimed in all the features of the bikes including our Elka Shocks and Performance Package.
One of the ladies had recently had to sell her Harley because of back/shoulder issues. Linda of course shared her story and I think we had her sold. Her husband still has his Harley and her comment to him was "If you ever want me to ride behind you, you will get one of these!" So out came the business cards for Cowtown and they told us they were planning to go see Len next Saturday.
Having never been part of a "cycle" group until Kev and I got the Spyder, for me this experience has been totally amazing!! We have met so many wonderful people!
To all the MoGang, wow I can't say enough you all are a wonderful group of people we are so glad you came into our life.
Len at Cowtown, thanks for everything!!!
LaMont thank you for everything.. this forum for us all to "express" ourselves, and all the advice you have given Kev.
Reggie at TricLED all the lights......at times I think we look like a spaceship.
Pete the great dash kit, SpyderPops Skid plate... soon to be Ultimate seat for me to be very comfortable riding.
John at Elka.
I know I have missed several, but please don't be upset. You guys all rock!! Thank you for making wonderful products for us to spend all of our hard earned money on... LOL, but for us to truly enjoy the Spyder.
Phil, Scotty and everyone else who has given us (Kevin) advice.
Kev and I have decided that this is our "Corvette". We are having a blast. -- So our five boys... sorry, no large inheritance.... just some fun toys for you all to fight over!!! LOL
We knew that we made the right decision purchasing the Spyder, but all the friends we have made before, during and after Spyderfest, that was the icing on the cake.
To anyone who was at Friday Night Lights at Spyderfest, we will have Spyder show on July 7th in our front yard starting at 7 p.m. and then somewhere around 9 p.m. we will really "light" it up. So if you plan on being somewhere around Troy, MO on July 7, send us a PM and we will give you all the details. If you liked what we did at Cuba, you ain't seen nothing yet!!!
To our Spyder Family.. THANKS!!! It is great!!
Love to all!
