There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Loud Belt Squeal in the Rain last night

So my 2011 RT Limited has always had a tiny belt squeal at acceleration so minor I could live with it. Last night I got caught in a sudden down pour of Rain and when down shifting into 2nd to go around a car I accelerated fast and the squeal was so pronounced and did it the whole time I was accelerating. "IT DID NOT DO THIS UNTIL I GOT ON THE THROTTLE" Rode all day Sunday almost 300 miles and zero squeal......

Is it Rain induced?
Do I just need to apply some Grease or Silicone spray to the belt?

Thoughts?

Thanks Rich

Rich, have you looked at where the the belt sits on the pulley? The distance should be between 1 and 5 millimeters. It may need to be aligned.-Norm

:D Let things dry out a bit, and see how it all works out!
My best guess: your belt just got a good cleaning!

Little checking..

A pea size dab of grease on the pulley will clear up the slight squealing but you could also recheck your alignment and tension on the belt. Rain does seem to be the reason for the increase in squealing and the grease may help this as well...
