There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Lost inside wheel cap cover

Did about a 800 mile trip this last weekend and while driving I noticed that I had lost a inside wheel cap cover part # 70540110. When I got home I notice the other one was missing... this is on the front 2 wheels... Anyone else found these missing? Dealer is going to replace....may put a little RV silicone on the new ones to hold them in place.

Some one else mentioned that theirs had come loose a while ago and so I had mine silicon-ed by the dealer before I could loose them

Oh yeah..!!

this is common. Probably many have lost them and don't know it. The silicon is they way to go...

Lost one of mine when a Jack Rabbit decided he wanted a closer look at the suspension. I was able to find the lost cover. Several of the ears on the back of the cover are now missing. I don't think it will stay on for very long. I plan on adding some silicon to the back to keep it in place. But I have to remember it needs to be reinstalled. Now what was I talking about?

Inner axle cover

I see a lot of missing inner axle covers. A LOT! Like almost every bike is shy one, or both! Horrible design. I need to fix that. Hmmmmm

One of mine didn't even last the ride home from the dealer when purchased new. So, I never even got the chance to silicon it on.

Dumb design and an even poorer build quality. :cus:

Never Knew there were "inside" caps

Read this whole thread and had no idea what you folks were talking about till I went out to the garage and looked on the inside of the front wheels and "lo and behold" there was a
black cap, similar to those on the rear axles, and when I barely touched it, it fell off! Both caps have been reinstalled with RTV on the nubs.

Thanks Bgame for starting this thread. :D

Well, you all have aroused my curiosity, so I went out to the garage and looked for mine, nothing there, just nuts and cotter pins. I had no idea they were even there. They are gone now.

This sounds like a great opprotunity for one of our vendors to release a nice farkle we cannot live without......

So that's what that black cap was for that was in the glove box when my Spyder was delivered! I'll bet the guy I bought it from found it on the floor, had no idea what it was, and just stuck it into the glove box! Now, all I have to do is find it in my messy garage!!!! :roflblack::roflblack::gaah:

Ted, (ULflyer) called me this morning and said he was at the Winston-Salem BRP dealership and inquired about new caps. They didn't have any in stock and he asked if I wanted him to order a set for me. They are $5 and change plus tax. I said yes.
That's how Spyder Lovers look out for each other. Thanks Ted.

Anytime Bill. $10.65 for the caps, plus $10 handling charge!:roflblack:

I believe these caps are for 2013+ models only. I could not find them on the parts diagrams for earlier years.

Wheel Cap 705401100 Can$ 4.99

I have looked and could not find them either. I first noticed them missing as I was leaving a dealership after some work. I turned around and went back. The dealer didn't know what I was talking about and none of the Spyders in his show room had them either. It just feels too exposed without a cap installed.
