• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Looking into a flow meter option for the fuel

I've been doing a little research on fuel flow meters as a replacement for the fuel gauge. I would rather know how many gallons I used and figure out how many gallons are left by that. The more I read the more I'm not sure what meter is going to work best with EFI and a return line. There are meters that calculate the fuel return and adjust for it and there are flow meters that do their calculations by the on time of the injectors. It's not going to be as easy as I had hoped but to me it would be worth doing as much as I travel.

FYI- The tank pick up is on the bottom and there is only about a 1/8" of fuel that is not used so when you're out of fuel the tank is empty. In theory you are suppose to have 1.4 gals left in the tank when the low fuel light comes on so you can figure out how far you have left to go by that. The tank is 6.6 gal but you will be lucky to get that much in the tank because of the shape. I think a safe bet is around 6 gal on a normal fill.

Sounds interesting. I just look at my trip meter as my Spyder gets over 14 klms per liter of gas or for you guys south of the 49th, 32 mpg and I know how far I can go before I start sucking air, well sort of if BRP is right about the tank size.

Allowing for head space, yeah, about 6 gals would be the limit on a fill up. With the fuel light on I've only been able to get about 4.8 on a fill up. Maybe it's just me but I don't think the fuel lights are that accurate anyway, too many variables. IMO, the flow gauge that measures injector on time would seem to be the way to go. Would like to know what you decide.
