Hello, I am a first time owner. Just bought a 2012 spyder Rt and am trying to find out what the official name of this part is and/or where to find it. I have looked at exploded views of bike and still cant come up with it. it is missing on the right side. left side is fine.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There was none on the right side in 2012 that's why you cant find it. You can find after market ones but no OEM parts there.

The OEM Spyder parts site is down, look at this page, bottom right. It's parts 10, 11, 12, 12a and 16. Pretty pricey. Look at securing both sides with a Dzus or other type quick lock, they can fly off and most folks don't see them go apparently.
Posted the wrong side. Look to the left, same parts, different numbers for the other side. Parts 13, 14,15,15a. Lateral side panel. You get the idea.

I'm pretty sure your talking about the grate that is covering the hole on the left side but there is none on the right side correct? The photo you are showing is not your 2012 Spyder that is a stock newer model Spyder

There is no OEM grill for right side of any RT model from 2010 to 2013. This is the exhaust for the cooling fan. After market has block out kits to fill in that space. Remember if you do block this space you must remove the bottom plastic plate. Air needs to escape from the fan.
