• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for options of floor boards or highway pegs

I am looking for new options for my new spyder....Looking for either floor boards or highway pegs and just wondering what new options might be out there.

I currently have the original kewlmetal pegs and kuryakin widow pegs.

I have tried and like the ISCI but want something that is more black and not chrome as the new RSS is orange/black with no silver or chrome allowed on it :)

I also tried docdoru's SFB floor boards and remember not fitting right with them because I am tall.

I am 6'3 and looking for opinions from everyone.

Check out rivcoproducts.com. Rich told me he was going to be come sponsor on Spyderlovers. His brakets are black powder coated and the floorboard can be changed to any Harley or aftermarket style you prefer.

Can you send me a picture of these installed on the spyder please?

Actually, if you can please post the photo here, I'd like to see that set up.

I like the Rivco peg/floorboard design, but for some reason I'm unsure about those highway pegs. Are people happy with those?

Also-- what's the advantage of using the ESI brackets with the Rivco boards?

One advantage of the ESI brackets over most other ones is that they are the among the farthest forward mounted brackets. They get your feet out beside the lower cowling.

I'll be happy to but right now the spyder is kind of torn apart. I'm doing a little maintenance so all skins are off. It will be next week. BJT is right on the ESI bracket position. It's really nice for longer legged ryders.

That's what I figured, nice to have the confirmation. Thanks!

The VTC floor boards I have also moves your feet out and lower as well and still retain the original foot pegs.

Here's the Rivco pegs with the ESI bracket. Sorry for the delay and the dirty Spyder. Raining here lately.

That looks like the best option for me...since I already own the ESI brackets. Also I saw a spyder today with the Revco floor boards...look nice and were pretty comfortable and also allowed you to still have a small peg where your stock ones are also. This would give me three foot positions which would be nice.

I like the floorboards from Spyder City. I was able to check them out on another ryder's RS and really liked them, but I'm not too keen on having to use their shifter. So if anyone has these, can you tell me if you used their shifter or found another one to work that looks better?

I really like the clean look of these. I saw a set at Cuba and I like the way it doesn't change the looks of the Spyder much, but has a very finished look. :2thumbs: Of the many sets out there these would probably be the ones I would add. They look like a factory option to me.

I have a question so hopefully someone can answer it today so I can get this on order. I like your footrest. I am 6'3 and need something to stretch out also so I like the position of the esi footrest. Are there any worries that someone will come back and put their weight on the footrest and screw stuff up?
It is my understanding that these footrests cannot with stand weight correct?

If I decided to go your route and do what you do....
1) I just need to buy the pegs
http://www.rivcoproducts.com/products/product.php?productid=282&cat=221&page=1

2) esi bracket
http://www.esicycleproducts.com/spyderfootrest.html

on your esi brackets it looks like yours is all one piece...in this picture it shows these esi brackets with "linkages"...am I looking at the wrong bracket? Also yours is all black, these show silver screws...were did you get the black screws?
And do I need the foot peg clevis kit? It is silver as well and I want black...
