• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am considering purchasing the front amber & red bright sides I would like them to function as signal as well but have read they won't blink at the same speed. Is there a method to reset the signal speed. Thanks in advance!

I think they will blink at the same speed as your OEM turn signals just not at the same time. Your OEM signals and your Brightsides will blink alternately...make sense? You'll also need the CD Tip Kit to make your Brightsides operate as turn signals as well as running lights.

I will soon own the TricLED rear cargo door lights (brightsides), I have the TricLED on the front fenders. They are 100% reflectorized as well and DOT approved. They should be available in the next 2-4 weeks I believe. I currently have the Show Chrome ones, but the reflectors are not very good. The CD Brightsides are NOT reflectorized or DOT approved. I have the front working as turn indicators but choose not to have the rear cargo lights flash. When you get them all hooked up you can reset the lights to flash correctly by going thru a quick reset step:

1. Turn key on
2. Press and hold the hazard button for 30 seconds
3. The cluster lights will flash confirming the calibration has been successful

That reset sequence only works on the 2014s. Not on earlier bikes.

They're not all that tough to do. If you come up here to me... :D

Red lights on sides in CA?

I vaguely remember hearing (from Finless I think) that there could be an issue with having red lights on the sides of Spyder in California. I'm not sure if it was a problem with blinking or red lights in general. Does anyone have any information on the legality of this for CA?
I know TricLed is a vendor at Spyders in the Redwoods in a couple of weeks, maybe they or one of the other vendors will have them...I'm hoping to purchase a whole bunch of lights while I'm there ....if my "Financier" lets me crack open the wallet a bit ;)

Where did you get that information? I asked him a few weeks back if he was coming anywhere west of the Rockies this year and the answer was no.

I don't think that they will be at SITR but I believe that they may be contributing to prizes. We, (Squared Away) will have TricLED American Flag lights for the RT for sale at SITR. We are a TricLED dealer but we will not have any other lights with us. :( We will be donating one flag light to the prizes also.
