There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Looking for help installing a shed-in-a-box and installing a sway bar

This is a REEEEEAAAAALLLLLYYYY long shot but I gotta ask anyway. Saturday morning, I'm planning on assembling my new Shelterlogic Shed-in-a-box. I also called around today to try to get someone to install my new Baja Ron sway bar on my 2021 RT.

Sway bar, first. The dealer where I purchased the bike won't have anyone available for at least the next 2 weeks. The "local" dealer hasn't gotten back to me yet to see if I can bring it in on Monday or Tuesday (I'm taking M/Tu off work. Only the 3rd and 4th days off I've taken all year. Use it or lose it.) I'd like to get an opportunity to ride the bike after the sway bar is installed so I can either cry about the money spent or get wood.

Second is the Shed-in-a-box. Mine is the 12x12x8 round top. I've watched a few YT vids and it looks like I can install it myself although it looks like it would be much easier with 2 people. I'll have to go to Lowe's to buy a hammer drill (nobody rents them around here) and some concrete anchors. Also, I've never done that before so I hope I don't screw it up.

Here's my request. I'm looking for someone who has installed a sway bar AND has experience drilling concrete (and hopefully a hammer drill) who can come over Saturday late morning to 1st help me install and anchor the shed/garage and then install the sway bar for me. I don't have a hammer drill nor do I have a jack or jack stands. What I DO have is a flat (but not quite level...it slopes for water runoff) concrete pad and apparently a shed to work in (not that anyone would need it as it's supposed to be in the 60s and sunny).

I'd provide all the water or other non alcoholic beverages you can drink and of course I'd spring for lunch (preferably fast food of your choice...Wendys, McDonalds, Taco Bell, whatever). I'd also give someone a hundred bucks cash. I think this way would cost me more than if I put up the shed by myself and had a shop install the sway bar but hanging out with a fellow Can Am rider is worth something to me.

Of course, once we were done, we get to go for a ride on some nice twisty roads (I know a few :) ). Like I said, this is a long shot but I had to ask. I'm in N. Wilkesboro, NC in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountians.

(Note, I wasn't sure which section to post this in. The shed install isn't Spyder related (well, sort of as that's where I'll hide the bike) but the sway bar install is. Mods, feel free to move this to a more appropriate section, if you need to.)

You're gonna need to lift the front end about 20 in to do the bar. If you don't have a system to to that, you probably will be forced to have a shop do it. It's very simple to do - once lifted so all you need is access to the lift. Any handy person can do it in <30 minutes.

The worst part is that the front end has to have unobstructed access while being at least 20" off the ground. with more being better.
It took me longer to get the body work out of the way than to do the actual removal and replacement of the bar.

2020+ RT needs no body panels removed. just 2 small plastic plates and access is clear.

in your other post,,,, I said I can help with hammer drill, just need size of anchors you need to drill. My son is visiting from tonight till Saturday, so I can't help this weekend. Can't do it Sunday either. But I'm actually on short term disability from work, that next weekday Monday I could, or Wednesday

It would be a bit of a long trip for me to make, once time is factored in for install of the sway bar and shed. I might be available for a while tomorrow (haven't checked with the boss yet). But if you can make it to my place, I have all you need to do the install of the sway bar. I am about 3 hours away and you are definitely welcome to come tomorrow. I will pm you my number and you can call or text me. As for the shed, I should be available to come to your place next week to help install that.

LOL. "up to and including the legal speed limit, where applicable", eh?

Update: This is turning out better than I had hoped. Riding over to Mr. Lightnings house tomorrow to do the sway bar and Mr. Addict will be coming over Monday to help with the shed and a ride.

An early "thank you" to both! I've met Woodaddict before and rode with him. It'll be nice to see him again. I've never had the pleasure of meeting blacklightning but will be nice to do so tomorrow.

HAGO!

great!! i'll let him tell you of our Spyder Adventure Friday ride. came close to 1 of 3 of us having a whoopsie on the road, and it wasn't me or BL. it was fun, exhilarating, but a workout, and concentration needed

I'm about an hour closer, over in Canton, just west of Asheville. Was late in replying. Only two hours away. If you want to ride over, I'll install sway bar for free. ( O.k, maybe for a can of Coke])

I appreciate it but I've already made plans with blacklightning. We've talked about meeting up for like 3 months anyway. It's about time. :)

Of course we go pass Canton on the way to Maggie Valley every year for the past 12. And I must say, we normally have a great ride, but about 75% of the time we run into traffic and rain in Canton. But I love the roads in the area.

Just got back from Apex. blacklightening helped me install the new Baja Ron swaybar. Couldn't have done it without him. :)

Great meeting you today. This unpredictable disc in my back is always in question. Decided it wanted to act up while pulling the trash bin to the road on Friday. But glad we were able to get it together without having any extra parts. Hopefully I can make it up your way soon and get some mountain riding in.
