Looking for Advice - Buy 2022 model or wait until 2023's are out

I am a totally new rider and been shopping for a Ryker 900cc. Since its been getting colder around here (live in Ohio) I am thinking that I will probably be starting to ride in the spring. So, question is whether I should hold off and purchase a 2023 model. I understand that there isn't really any differences between 2022 and 2023. But if I end up upgrading in a couple of years, thinking that having a 2023 model would be an advantage financially. Any word on when the '23 Rykers may be available?

I guess my other question is whether riding in the winter months is something I should consider? Does the cold weather gear make it worthwhile? Or should I wait until I have some miles under my belt before trying that out. Thanks in advance!

What model to buy is up to you. As far as riding in the winter I am in south central Ohio and I ride year round. I have a pair of freeze out pants from Cycle Gear that I wear under my jeans or if really cold under my Tourmaster pants. I have a Gerbings heated jacket liner I use under my jacket. Spyder and Moto Guzzi have heated grips. If roads are icy or salt covered I attempt to talk my wife into letting me borrow her SUV. I'm retired so staying home is always an option. Most of my winter riding is for appointments or errands instead of pleasure, but if above freezing I will venture out for a afternoon ride.

I guess the two biggies are discounts and incentives. How much for what you're looking at in a left over (if available) in comparison to new. The other is, are they offering incentives on advance orders, how much and is the warranty extended. Good luck. Riding for us is done once salt is put down. We Never ride with ice or snow on the ground.

... I would recommend going with the 2023 if you can make the payments.

I would get the one with the most incentives. But I would also consider waiting (on delivery anyway) if you will not be riding until spring. And example I like to keep in mind is, I need to buy a lawn mower. Unless they have some great deals, I will wait until it gets closer to spring. Why used up 6 months of warranty if I will not be using it? Good luck shoping.
