• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey guys!

Long time no see! Been a while since I've been on SL...have been in the middle of a cross country move from south Florida to overland park Kansas! Just got all moved out here and finding I need to be able to see my phone for directions more than ever. While riding Tessa its not as easy as when I'm in the Audi.

Anyone have any recommendations for some kind of cell phone mounting kit that I can mount to the front dash heads up display area? I saw one on a different 2012 RSS at a power sports dealer, I asked about it but the sales guy was clueless. It was clearly aftermarket though so can't fault him.

It had some kind of a spring system where you press it open, put your phone in, and then it securely grips the phone and holds it in place.

I have a droid turbo so it is a medium sized, thin, smartphone.

Thanks for any help! Also...any riders in the south KC metro area shout out!!

Yep, GPS City, RAM X grip and they also make a mount that fits the Spyders handlebar.

Hey guys...so I ended up going with the tech mount from powersportsUS. I searched some other cell phone mount threads and there seemed to be good reviews on it. However, when I received it, it didn't come with a mounting kit for the spyder! It takes a 17mm ball mount to mount to. Turns out, the dang company does NOT make a mount for the RSS spyder!! What the heck!

So my question is...are there any 2012 RSS mounts that have a 17mm ball versus the 1" ball mount ram offers?

Put another way...is there any way to mount this tech mount to my 2012 RSS?

I appreciate any help guys!!
