• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hi y’all.
I’m looking for a used Spyder…and am
2015 rt-s became available…
Kinda worried about a bike that age.
Has 87018 km on it..
Anyone with experience with one of this age

I have a 2015 base model with 50,000 miles on it and have no intention of getting rid of it. It has been a reliable vehicle. Has it been maintained properly is the question you need to be asking. If so I wouldn't be afraid of it.

:agree: with Navydad. Only 87,000 kms!! If the bike's been reasonably well maintained, that's barely run in!!

87,000 kms is only 54,000 miles. Just nicely broken in. I would certainly check it out, get a dealer to check for any outstanding recalls, that sort of thing. Any spyder dealer can check that, all they need is the serial number of the unit.

Hi,

I have a 2015 RTS with 209350 kms or just over 130000 miles on it. Other than basic maintenance such as tires, brakes, sparkplugs, oil changes etc, a windshield arm, and a few drive sprockets until the last one, which is supposed to be the latest/last fix. I just changed the purge valve. It still runs good and I will keep running it till it gets tired. Not sure when that will be.

My only concern is that when it does get tired, is there someone who rebuilds 1330 engines, or will I have to find a new motor and maybe tranny?

Basic maintenance is the best thing, and as with every motorized vehicle, it will need some replacement parts over time depending on how much you use it.
