• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Limp Mode/VSS etc.

One more day before owning my 2015 F3s for 1 year and 1,700 miles and whadda you know. Cruising along at 60 and power cut happens, get home and find a wire insulation has worn thru touching the rotating axle cap on the inside of my front wheel. ABS lights up with the limp mode, wire not broken but shop manual indicates to check fuse number 6 and 8 in the REAR FUSE box!!!! Hmmm, anybody know where this REAR fuse box is located exactly. Thanks

should be under the seat , not sure if left or right side though , mine { 2012 r-t } under seat, right side, under the brake fluid reservoir tank is located { not under the tank , but under the position of tank next down toward front of bike is fuse box , I see it when I have the side cover panel off }

HOW TO REPLACE FUSES AND LIGHTS
Fuses
If any electrical accessories stop working
on the vehicle, check for blown
fuses and replace if necessary.
If an electrical failure still occurs, have
the vehicle serviced by an authorized
Can-Am roadster dealer.
Fuse Locations
Fuses are located inside the front storage
compartment.
To access the fuse boxes, open the
front storage compartment.

Check the manual.

Model is F3s which has two fuse boxes located behind frunk tub. Checked that first, all good. Shop manual refers to a REAR fuse box. It states "MAKE SURE FUSES 6 and 8 IN REAR FUSE BOX ARE GOOD". This is quoted verbatum from the 2015 F3s shop manual used by Can Am thus thought someone may have an idea of it's location. Don't know why the official shop manual would indicate this if there is none but have seen stranger things happen.

might have been an misprint and meant to be the RIGHT fuse box.

Just a thought

Little checking..

Seems to be in the rear section under the seating. From the wiring harness shown in the cheapcycleparts.com site. If you repair the wire and reroute it and let the computer reset it should clear. If a fuse is blown you would have lost some functions if major such as brakes it should not longer let you go on. :dontknow:

Saw a box but have not attempted to remove it (cover) yet located under the passenger seat. Repaired the wire from the wheel sensor after retrieving the code (C0031) thanks to Lamont (lamonster garage's post) from WAAAY back and C006C. Will have dealer reset fault codes to see if that works. Thanks to all the helpful comments.

if you have not already...download the spydercodes app (free) and you will have all the codes meanings and possible solutions. App also has some great other features that are very helpful...

UPDATE - - - - repaired damaged wire area where previously worn through by inner axle cap, drove approximately 2 blocks giving the wheel speed sensor time to calibrate and all is good again, no more limp mode or fault code.
