• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well I thought after I got the overheating fixed and did the walk away with the key all was good :cus: :cus: not to be so. I was able to ride 2 full days without any problems ( 32 miles one-way to work) but this morning about 27 miles into my ride I get the dreaded LIMP HOME MODE not good on the Highway with everyone flying about 80 mph and no place safe to pull off. Codes VSS FAULT with the spyder and ~ lines from the tires and Check DPS. So it another tow to the dealer and a long walk home  :banghead: jtpollock

Bummer..!!

Dps pulls a lot of electric power. Because it is the power steering it will cause the vss which is your stability control to warn you as well. In many cases a weak battery or bad connections can cause this. There were early models that had dps problems you could have them check that by vin number. If there was work done on the front end like alignments or a pot hole curb type bump this can set it off too. Buds is needed to reset things. Have them check the battery and recconect the cable, check the ground cables to the frame. Buds should tell them more about whats going on. Hope it is just some connections, don't know what work was done for the heat problem could have moved some connections...let me know what they find...:banghead::thumbup:

The work that was done for your heating problem did put them close to the dps unit..have them check those connections...not just look unplug and reconnect. Good luck....

Well it's in the shop in line to be worked on small shop so there is a lot of waiting time hopefully they can find the problem. Before I call the tow truck I thought I would start the spyder, noticed there is a plug on the panel near the radiator cap not plugged in all the way the latch was broken. I also removed the key to see if that would do anything started with no indication anything was wrong :dontknow: so I rode it to the shop only 10 miles no problems. They will do what they need to do clear the codes and hopfully get me back on the road....jtpollock
