Limp home mode

New member, first post. Just received passenger backrest, install was a snap, and the heated grips. Not the hardest thing I've done just a little time consuming but now I have the dreaded limp home mode scrolling across the console!!! Before I tear it down again and check the all the connections hopefully someone has an idea what it might be. Thanks in advance!

Check app "Spyder Codes". It has lots of great tips.

There's been some talk on the BRP tech board about some throttle sticking with stock grips and heated grips. Make sure the throttle returns all the way.

Plug is tight and throttle seems to be ok. Crap!!!

Ooops..!!

throttle "fly by wire" are very sensative. If the throttle snaps back fully then check the wiring to the sesor ans servo. make sure you always remove the key and walk away with it so the computer can reset. It may have picked up the problem before you were done...:thumbup:

Put original throttle back on and fault cleared!

Still there! Last thing I want to do is "limp" to the dealer to get this "easy installation" fixed! Double crap!!!
