There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm glad you're back amongst us! I know that drill...power outage killed my router and range extender a few weeks back. That was through the protector, too. I got the router to live again after a few hours, but the extender was dead meat. Just got the warranty replacement via the Brown Truck.

I'm not sure anything would clamp fast enough, there in the lightening capital of the world. 
A close hit can fry even the most carefully protected devices. Worst part of this whole ordeal is that even if the equipment survives, it can take hours to troubleshoot and reconfigure everything. Be sure and register that new equipment, it just saved me the cost of a new range expander. I didn't even know it was still under warranty until I pulled it up on the Internet (via a straight cable connection...fortunately my cable modem survived all this).
