• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

light installation

I purchased TricLed fender lights and the Custom Dynamics fender markers. Mudflap lights and saddlebag side markers. The dealership I usually use want $400.00 to install these lights. Plus converter shield. I find this kind of high. Or is this about normal. They are telling me 4 hours. Your thoughts. I had both knees replaced and can not get down on my knees .

I don't mind paying for a service but I feel this is overpriced.

I did all of the same mods to the wifes RT-S about a little over a year ago. Was the first ones I did to the :spyder2:. The instructions that come with it are very good and have plenty of pic's for each step. I think you could save yourself some $$$ and do them yourself. You only have to take off the front wheels to run the wiring under the fender. Maybe a a local rider could help you out if you still don't feel comfortable?

May seem high, but 4 hrs is fair. It may well take longer. Depends on if the tech has done it before and if he runs into trouble. One thing about having them do it. They will be responsible if any installation problems should arise. fwiw

 I'm also not wild about that $100 per hour charge...
But having the shop's liability policy covering the installation should offer some peace of mind; what is that worth to you?
I'm sorry to hear that your knees don't allow you to tackle this project yourself. Have you tried setting up a stool that you could use as a perch while tackling it? :dontknow:
Good Luck! We'll want to hear how this installation goes...

I am sorry to say that the price is right as fastfraser and myself installed same lights as you with flashing mode plus a heated Corbin seat, the RT 622 trailer lights from Tric LED and it took us just over 7 hrs
The biggest time consuming pain in the neck is taking the panels off. I am assuming your dealers shop rate is $100.00/ hour.
