• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Light connection assistance?

I'm adding the TricLED RGB multi-color halo underground effects kit onto my '12 RTL today. While the kit looks great, the instructions don't specify exactly how to get power to the harness. All of the other lights came with posi-taps and specific instructions on where to connect in. These just have the Coax Barrel Plug to connect + and - wires from somewhere, but where and how....
I don't mind admitting that I'm electrically challenged, but can follow instructions.
Does anyone have recommendations on the best way to get juice to these?
Thanks in advance!

FZ-1 Fuse Box

Recommend adding the FZ-1 Fuse Block (TricLED) as your auxiliary power source for all the additional Farkels because once you start it is hard to ever stop.

here's what we did...and now she don't start....

So I was able to get some assistance from a friend down the road to get the kit connected. We just wired from the Coax Barrel plug + to the + on the battery (with a 20amp in-line fuse) and - to a screw on the frame. That got the lights to working nicely.
But, now she don't start... I hadn't started her since my ryde last weekend, so I don't know what the problem is...
It's not the Kill switch, and I tried the "Flooded" and "Key Walkaway" procedures with no luck. She's now at the dealer to get their expert opinion...
I can't see why anything we did could cause this problem, but we'll find out soon.....

(She won't start when disconnected either, fyi)

Does it crank or if not, did you check the battery voltage to make sure it wasn't run down too far?

Hopefully end of the story

She would crank over but wouldn't start. I checked the voltage via the charger and indicated 12.5v/75%. I then put it on the charger overnight at 2% and by morning was showing 13.7/100%. She would still only crank but not start. I had her towed to my local dealer. They called last night and said that they charged the battery and she fired right up....
:dontknow:I dunno why, but there you go....
I'm going to get her the 12k maintenance (California only scheduled Maint) while she's down there.
I hope that's the end of the story...
