• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Careful..!!

The dude at the far left looks like he has a leopard skin coat thats fur...:roflblack:

A bit off the fur vs. leather title...but...maybe of interest to some.

Back when I was in the leather business I had some fun with the "controversy."

When the animal rights people would come in and complain that I was dealing in a business that hurt poor defenseless animals...

Most of the time it was easy to point out their shoes, belts, handbags, or wallets, that came from the same process. That usually shut down the confrontation.:yes:

We dealt mostly in cowhide, pigskin, sheepskin, and snakeskin. No exotic, protected species in my store.

Hamburger, ham sandwich, leg of lamb, anyone? Most would say fair enough on the rattlers.

I've been purse and wallet shopping. I've been noticing some are made of "vegan leather" !!!! Why not just call it imitation leather?

One of my favorites back in the seventies was "LatisGlo" Handbags. There were imitation Latigo (oil tanned leather) and completely plastic. K-Mart sold them. The plastic would break in half on the folds.

i can't wear leather, every time i ride in leather there are people chasing me thinking a cow got away from a farm,. and i only wear fur on saturday nights if i have someplace to go

A group called SHAC (Stop Huntington Animal Cruelty) from across the pond came to Little Rock one year to protest and several wound up being jailed for a few days, (nasty smelly people) and all the jail had for them to eat was fried bologna sandwiches, so needless to say very little money was spent on feeding them because they refused to eat, they refused to bathe because soap products are made from animals, but the Sheriff gave them all a good shower.

They have failed to come back and visit.

I'd be willing to bet that you'd be more than willing to show them a little bit more of your Southern Hospitality... :D :2thumbs:
