Howdy all!
Wanted to give you an update and thank you for your support of my little girl. Leah helped raise over $4000 dollars for the March of Dimes, Walk for Babies in Charlotte, NC on April 30th.
Spyderlovers were over $2000 of that which simply blows us away. We can't thank you enough. My wife still wonders what I do at these rallies and online that people I don't even know or hardly know are willing to donate so much of their money to help Leah's fund raising. Please don't tell my wife what I do!
We shot some videos and pictures of the day. We all were worn out after we walked, visited the NICU to see our nurses, and stopped at the dealer to pick up my spyder (12k service).
The walk was fun. Lots of sad moments though. Lots of shirts worn that proclaimed "In Memory of" and a DOB and DOD. It reminded us just how fortunate we and Leah are at this point.
As for Leah, she continues to do well. She is 7 months old, and 3 1/2 months adjusted age. She was rated as being 4 1/2 months two weeks ago, so she is 1 month ahead of where they expected her to be at this point. She is reaching out for things quite a bit and is able to grasp items. She is a very good baby though lately she has been cranky at night during and after her last feedings. She is sitting at 11 pounds.
First... Thank you!
Leah eating rice cereal for the first time. She has been doing better with the cereal this past week and we will be trying other baby food for her this coming week.
Here is a link to my facebook (PUBLIC) album of the walk:
