I bought my 2011 Spyder RT last fall from my sister-in-law after my brother Steve passed away (it had belonged to him). Although I really liked it it tended to wander around the road more that it should have, even after I got over giving it too much steering input. I got a BajaRon sway bar and was very impressed at the improvement. However, the steering was still not right. The I noticed that my right front tire was wearing off on the left side of the tire. I had been told by other forum members that a laser alignment would help my steering problem.
I decided to get my bike aligned and the difference was amazing. Now I can let go of the handle bars and the Spyder goes straight as an arrow down the road. It had always pulled to the side. It is like I have a new machine. Riding it is WAY more pleasant and relaxing. I can now go further with less effort. My left elbow had developed the equivalent of tennis elbow from the constant corrections in steering needed. Last week I rode 375 miles with NO elbow discomfort.
Thanks folks for the advice and thanks Cowtown USA for the good alignment job!
