• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Largest front tires for a 2012 RTL

My 2012 RT Limited takes a 165/65/14 tire. Does anyone know if I can up the size to 175 or 185 width without any fender rubbing. Going to upgrade to a auto tire, and there is not much selection in the original size......

I have 175/65 on the front of my 2012. They barely clear the fender. I don't think you could go any larger.

On our 2012 RT we had 185/60/14 Generals. They fit, just a little tight getting them on and off. It was easier if the mud flap on the rear was removed.

You can....

Some have had to add some spacers to make them fit well. Installation is a bit of a chore but once in it is fine. Just you will have little clearance if you should hit a cow patty....:roflblack:

Does anyone know the website to look up what cars this size tire will fit on in case some nosey salesman asks what you are going to put the tire on ?

Hey Ben, just tell them you are putting the tires on an 'Independently Constructed Kit Car'!!

175

i have these on my F3, and also had 175's on my RS... i'm sure the RT can also handle this size....

Bridgestone makes a great Potenza tire in the stock 165/65R14 size and they are very reasonably priced. We have installed a few sets of those and the customers that have them are quite pleased. Smooth riding and long lasting tire.
