• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster / Corbin

Does anyone have a handle on the differences between the stock Corbin dual tour seat and the Lamonster version that Corbin has listed ? :dontknow:

Call Corbin a couple of times to inquire and they will tell you 'Your not Lamonster' and hang up.

Just go elsewhere to someone that WANTs your business and does quality work the first time.

Thanks !!

Thanks those were the specks I was wondering about . Sorry to hear some of the negative response about Corbin . I have had their seats on three bikes with no problem , and my butt never complained ;) will see how it goes :f_spider:

The Lamonster Corbin is more than a logo, it is more dished out and cut back. Mike Corbin told me he sells more of my branded seat than the stock seat. :doorag:

With all due respect to Lamonster, my friend is going through a nightmare with Corbin (he ordered Slingshot bags) and there is a thread here about similar experiences with F3 bags. I would suggest you do some of your own research on the company before making a Corbin purchase.

I know how you feel, but a seat is not a case (or saddlebag, if you prefer that).

Our recently ordered seat - it was the standard Corbin issue - has been sent back because it was cut too far back and "dished" too much compared to the standard seat. The standard Corbin is cut three inches further back than the standard, oem seat on the F3 which, if you are a big person, will give you some extra space. If you are a normal-sized person with 38" or less waist and a 30" inseam the basic Corbin seat might be set too far back, as we found. This means that a Lamonster seat will be even more so.

The other problem with the Corbin seat, which will be even worse on the Lamonster seat if we are to believe the description Lamont gave, is that there is only 1.5" of seat "padding" which I found insufficient (too hard). The pillion seat has about 4" of padding, which makes it very comfortable.

We are having our Corbin seat 1 1/2" further forward, and with 1 1/2" deeper padding. Moving it forward means that we won't have to get closer reach bars and footrest mountings. They give seat customers one free re-design or modification. It's a shame they don't help out more with the bags.

Personally, I don't trust a bad review or two on Yelp - you never know the real story and I like to give companies the benefit of the doubt. I do trust consistent experiences, and have found it unusual that a company provides great service on one product, and terrible service on another product. This your money, and your decision, but there is lots of feedback here on seats:
