• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Laconia Bike Week

OK, us northerners are sad reading about Daytona while there's still ice and snow all over...everything.

Are there any plans for a Spyder owner gathering at New Hampshire's Laconia Bike Week? :spyder: :spyder: :spyder:

I think the "all motorcycle ride" up Mount Washington would be a blast as well.

I notice no sponsorship (yet) from Can-Am/BRP. I was gonna shoot an email to the Spyder team to see if they intend to come.

I know June seems far away, but I just came in from throwing woodstove ashes on a driveway covered in ice, so I'm just daydreaming... ::)

I did the ride up Mount Washington in the family station wagon about ten years ago. White knuckles all the way up and down. Also, the car needed a brake job shortly after I got home, even though I stopped periodically to let the discs cool down! :cus: I'm told that on a clear day the view from the top is spectacular. All we could see was cloud that day, though.
Cheers,
Bruce

The Spyder Team emailed me back promptly, which is nice, but they didn't offer much info:

"...Please take a look on http://spyderryder.brp.com/spyder-community/en-US/News.Details.html?ArticleID=477954dc-9aa7-4ed9-9c6d-8aebad672896 to see the Spyder events that are confirm. Laconia Bike Week in New Hampshire is not one of them. However, other events might be added, you have to check frequently on the website to see the latest update..."

So, basically, BRP is not gonna be there, unless they decide to be there. ::)
