• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Labor Day Ryding with the League of Warriors

Got invited to a Sept. 4th ride with a local Christian motorcycle club...The League of Warriors. We were a quirky group of 3 Spyders, 3 Harleys, and even a Slingshot! (Pics 1 and 2).

Our group leader and Road Captain for the Trip goes by the Club name "Ratchet". I rode Sweep position. "Flip, "Spyderman", and the rest of the gang went in-between. Ratchet took us on an incredible ride from Huntsville, AL up thru Sewanee, TN. We went through the University of The South Campus (one of the most beautiful College Campuses I have ever seen, no time to snap a pic :banghead:), and then he took us thru about 6 miles of some INSANE twisties that had me yelling "Woo Hoo!!" inside my helmet...:yikes::yes:. Then, it was up to a Scenic Overlook on "some mountain in Tenn somewhere", where we all gave our best smiles (Pic 3). Then off to an incredible BBQ House that I have to look up the name of. About 30 bikes outside, a lot of Tri-Glides there.

After stuffing our faces, there were more INSANE twisties on a different road, a stop at Fosters Falls State Park, and then back to Huntsville. Now I have to look at Google Maps and figure out where I was and how I got there. :roflblack:

A shout-out to you League riders.....what fun!!! We shall ride again! :clap::firstplace:Warriors Ryde 3 Wheels.jpgWarriors Ryde 2 Wheels.jpgWarriors Ryde View.jpg

When you do, create a new map to show the route then post a link here. Sounds like a must-do ride when we're out that way.

Will do UtahPete. I have most of the route retraced now. I'm gonna take a couple of my Harley buddies on this ride and laugh watching the sparks fly from their footpegs/floorboards in some of those turns.

Route

Ok, since someone asked, here is the route we took (not sure how many are interested). This is a loop to/from Huntsville, AL, there are several offshoots that I'm going to explore on my next time thru the area:

Take HWY 72 Eastbound towards Scottsboro
Left on HWY 79
Left on HWY 146/65/97 Towards Huntland, TN
Right on HWY 64, then Right on HWY 41A towards Cowen, TN
Continue on 41A to Sewanee, TN
Left on Kentucky Ave then Left on Tennessee Ave.
Continue to Dead End to see "The Cross" monument and scenic overlook, Check out the campus of University of the South along the way
Retrace back to 41A, get a second look at University of the South, and make Left on 41A
Continue to Monteagle, TN and stop at Jim Oliver's Smokehouse BBQ. Stuff face and loosen belt.
Continue East on 41A to Eastbound HWY 41 towards Tracy City, TN
Continue on HWY 41 thru Tracy City, TN to Foster Falls State Park. Take an easy hike to see the falls
Continue South/East on 41 to Jasper, TN. Go right on HWY 72 heading Westbound.
Continue on HWY 72 back to Huntsville, AL

Enjoy!
