• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kuryakyn ISO grips

I was curious. Has anyone tried these grips with the RT's heated grip feature? I had these on my two wheeler a few years ago and LOVED them. I dont want to put them on my RT if they're gonna melt or otherwise be an unpleasant ride...

Don't have them, but have read that others that do say they work, tho many didn't like how much they reduced the heat output, especially if riding in alot of cold weather. Hope this helps;)

I looked at them at the Kuryakin stand last weekend at Daytona. There was a guy who had installed them on his RT.He said they worked well as they are in 2 pieces. you tighten them down and the heat comes out in the 2 spaces between the pieces. They are not made for the RT but the Goldwing. They are longer than the RT grips. The problem is you have to grind down at least a quarter of an inch the downshifter as there is no room to put them on the left grip until you do.It does work however as I saw it on this guys RT and he did turn things on which resulted in the grips warming up.They also came in all black which really looked nice.

Thats what i was looking at. I like the looks of the black ones. I have an SM5, so i dont have the shifter issue

I have them on my RT-SM5. You do have to remove the solid disk piece on the end and cut down the rubber ridge around the end until it is flush. They are a tight fit, but they do fit. Since my Spyder is manual shift, I had no issue with a shift paddle.

I have them and really like them. My hands seemed to cramp up with the smaller stock ones. Yes the heat is a little less than before. But works ok for myself. You will need to trim the paddle down some to enable shifting to work easily.

:chat: I also added them. I followed Lamont's video to install. One note, since you're putting rubber against rubber, they go together with some difficulty. After spraying some soap solution, I put a piece of cloth around them, used channel locks to press together & had my allen wrench ready to screw them together. Love em'.

I have them on my 2010. Followed the instructions on this site, but ground the grip rather than the shifter. A real bugger to get the screws in as stated in a previous reply. Work really well, but left side snapped in one place about half way along does not effect them at all. I guess need to be careful not to push on the end when fitted. I also have the stilleto end caps.
