As many may recall, I came across an excellent deal on a 2018 Spyder F3 Limited -- basically dealer cost AND includes the rebate! Anyway, was supposed to sign papers and pick the :spyder2: up yesterday ….. BUT, when the dealer did the final BUDS hookup to clear it for sale, it was kicked back with a warranty issue. :yikes: It seems that some 2018 F3's were sent out with potentially faulty alternators that either don't charge the battery or damage it (overcharge??, not sure). So, rather than have me take the Spyder, BRP requested a delay in delivery and overnighted the parts. I was actually okay with signing the paperwork yesterday, because if delivery is delayed past the end of the month, the $4500 rebate goes away (though, I would hope BRP might still honor it since they requested the delay). Imagine if I had picked the :ani29: up the day before (when the warranty issue wasn't in the system), and then got a call to bring it in for warranty work the next day. So, kudos to the dealer (Freedom Powersports in Decatur) for getting on the issue quickly and kudos to BRP for overnighting the parts.
