Sunday PM while traveling to Branson from NC we stopped at an interstate overpass at Dexter, Mo because of heavy rain. Heard a tiny meow and there was a 6-8 week old kitten crying for help. No way we could ride away and leave it there to get run over so we put it in the trunk of the RT and went on to Popular Bluff with the intent of finding a carrying cage and keeping it but decided that would be hard to do with seven days left on our trip. Went to town police station and the lady there contacted the pound which was closed at that time, but said she would take it till they could get it.
The Kitten was orange with lots of white and loved to snoodle around my neck, purring loudly. It was clearly in need of food as it was fairly skinny, but otherwise lively and appeared healthy.
If any of you folks out MO way can see your way to adopt this little guy, please contact the pound at Popular Bluff, MO, and please email me.
