• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kidney donation

Last Thursday my daughter donated a kidney at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. She started what was called a donor chain where a non-family member donates a kidney and the recipient finds a donor to also donate and so forth. This was a 3 person chain with 3 donors and 3 recipients. Tomorrow Wednesday all the donors and recipients will meet for the first time before they are discharged. I just wanted to tell the world that my wife and I are very proud of her selfless act which will provide a more normal life for someone. In Minnesota our driver’s license lists us as organ donors but she took that one step further and did it while she is still alive.

What a wonderful daughter. Y'all did a great job raising her. I want to add our thanks especially as my wife is a kidney recipient. She lost both kidneys to a rare autoimmune disease. Her brother is her donor. We have donor driver licenses, and our military IDs show us as donors. Don't take it to the grave with you, you won't need it on the other side.

Thank you for the gift of life... :firstplace:
(My Missus received her kidney from a living donor almost 8 year's ago... January 23rd.)
