Vaughn is out in the garage changing oil on the RT and just noticed a crack in the KewlMetal mounts.
The history: when we bought the RT back in March, the mounts were recommended and installed by the dealer when we first bought the RT for the Kuryakin (sp?) highway pegs.
Unfortunately the pegs didn't work for us, so we returned them but kept the mounts thinking Vaughn could rest his left peg leg on it until we figured out some other floorboard, etc.
Not long after that, the vibration became so bad that he looked under the bike and discovered that the front bolt was missing. So we mentioned it to the dealer and it was replaced.
So, we're just curious :gaah: . . . have a look at the pics, and tell us what you think caused it to crack????
