Does anyone know the diameter of the K&N filter in the Kewlmetal filter kit? I can go pull the plastic panels off of my spyder if no one knows off-hand. I am looking to get a foam prefilter to try to reduce the noise a bit. If someone has already done this and can share their experience, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i just put something like dynamat (http://www.aboutsecurityconcepts.com/Stinger_Roadkill_Sound_Dampening_Door_Kit_p/rkxdk.htm) on the panels surrounding the engine... and the sound came down a lot... in some areas i had to double up it up... good luck:2thumbs:

I used the prefilter material available from the K&N.com site, I think 4in.or 6in. wide by maybe 30in. cut it to fit, comes with Velcro strips. However this has little effect on reducing the noise. Its a precaution for dusty conditions as we have here in Arizona.
