Has anybody installed this yet? It seems to be the least expensive way to go, if you want a backrest. I'm new and it is a little confusing when you want part 'A', but need parts 'B' and 'C' also. And, part 'C' allows you to mount part 'D'.
I just purchased a 2008 red SM5 this weekend and will be picking up March 15 due to snow conditions where I live. So, I have time to determine what accessories I will need. The backrest is the first thing I need for my gf.
I like the Corbin backrest, but don't feel the need right now to change the seat. And, the BRP backrest requires their rear sport rack; the sport rack seems a tad high. I know the BRP rear rack bag can install on the BRP sport rack. But, a Givi can install on the kewlmetal luggae rack and provide more storage space. Like I said it's just a little confusing to a newbee.
