As many know, I have had my RT about six weeks and am starting to really like it. I have been reading this web site daily since January when I get serious about buying a RT.

I keep reading about problems that are traced to a loose battery connection. Many times at assembly, the tech does not tighten the terminals properly. There is no excuse for this and looses time and money for the new owner and the dealer.

After reading these posts, I told my tech to double check the battery terminals when he put BR1 together. He said, "Oh, I do, as it can cause problems if not tight."

Since its hard to tell how knowledgeable or thorough a tech is at any dealer you are not familiar with - it is very very helpful to have some coaching from this site so you can point the tech in the right direction and let him know you are somewhat informed yourself (or at least projecting that image).. Every day is a bit of an education on Spyderlovers.com
