• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi everyone, I am new here and just wanted to share somethings with you all... I finally got my hindle exhaust and installed it today and when tested it blows some air out of the joint... I figured it will since it did not come with any gasket in between or any kind of joint sealant. I read some postings and saw that this is a common issue and dont know what kind of sealant I should use to prevent the leak.. thnx

First, welcome.

If the slip joint is not "slotted" (Lamont just found this problem in the last few days), my recommendation is to slice four (4) 1" slots (or slightly less than the band clamp's width) in the end, 90* apart. You can use a saw or even a Dremel to cut the slots. Then seal with hi-temp RTV, clamp it up and let it set overnight to prevent blowing the sealant out.

It seems that Hindle has either changed their design (for the worse) or have a bunch of mufflers out in the market that had the slots unintentionally omitted from the manufacturing process.

:agree: and welcome

Seems to be on mine - one of these days I'll add the JB, which I've heard fixes that issue, as well as the uneven idle..
