• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just Installed MotorCycle Cruise

SLO RYDER

New member
I just installed the cruise control from the MotorCycle Cruise Controls from the company in Australia and it is great.
The instructions were clear and concise but most of all it performed well with minimal tweaking and adjustments after the install. :2thumbs:
I've become used to having the cruise on a Yamaha Royal Star I owned as well as my other current ride a BMW R1200RT. It was a pleasure commuting this morning. I hope it will improve the gas mileage by holding a steady speed.

I installed the same cruise control about a month ago. I love it and is the best add on to date for me.

Questions

A couple of questions please -

1) On a scale of 1-10 , how hard to install ? What's the most difficult part ? How long did it take ? Any special skills needed ?

2) What does it look like ?

3) Total cost ?

THANKS IN ADVANCE !!!!!!!!!!!

Same here and where did you get it?

If anyone is interested. I have one I purchased, brand new in the box, that I need to sell. Right now, I need the money more than I need a cruise control. Check out the price at www.mccruise.com and do the dollar conversion, then make me an offer using private messaging.

Sorry for the delay in answering your questions.

I'd rate the install about 8, you should have a strong mechanical aptitude and tools.

I would say routing the cables and wire harness was the most difficult. The instructions gave good pictures of how to route but I modified some of the routing.

I worked on it over the weekend but was interrupted several times plus I didn't hurry. I would say over all it would take about 8 hours.

The control mounts under the left light switch housing. The unit has several components that mount at various locations in the front of the bike unseen,

It cost me $609.00

Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions
