• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Many have been confused about the top speed issue, so I thought just for fun it would be nice to hear from all the spyder riders out there how fast they have been and what mods contributed to your top speed

Too many deer around here for me to try that on the road.

Hit the rev limiter at 91 in third gear on the track, though.

Otherwise I think 97 is the fastest I went on the straight, although I'm usually too busy looking at the next corner to look down at the speedo.

No mods except for the Hindle.

Once, just once . . . . .

. . . . 120
And like FireFly said, there was more to go.

Stimulating, but humbling. I am not a good enough rider and general conditions are not good enough either to do that more than once.

With some speed limits out here being 75, 85 can happen very easily. But, my nerves get on edge when I get close to 95. At that point, the Spyder is going faster than my mouth can go and I get uncomfortable. 99.9999999% of the time, I am at the speed limit, plus or minus 5 MPH.

Got 120 the first time I tried and was still pulling.

Went full throttle on the trip to CA a few weeks ago. It was at altitude, a little up hill and a head wind. Still, I was dissappointed as all I could get was 110 and it didn't seem to have much, if anything, left.

I've always assumed that since the rev limiter is at 10k, and I tach 5k at 69mph, that 138 would be it (assuming there's enough power left at 10k RPM to overcome drag at that speed).

With 205 km/hr being 127.4 mi/hr (max from Lamonster's video) one might assume that there just isn't quite enough power to get there.

Personally, I've reached 110 a couple of times. I don't expect to need much beyond that .

Agreed...depends on the rider as well as the mods...the lighter and smaller you are, the better...the more mods you have to unleash the beast, the better.

I have 5500 on my tach at 75mph...so, a little less than double that...I'd say 140 is about all she's got, captain...
