• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Jacking up the 21 RTL?

Just want to make sure where to place floor jack to lift the rear. I'm assuming the rear shock mount is the proper place. Front wheels are driven up on ramps.

That's right, but have some sort of soft pad on the lift. Even a folded shop cloth will do.

Or just forward of that shock assembly, stay close as you can!!! I don't like jacking on that hanger myself!!!

My workshop manual says NOT to jack under the shock, but just in front of it

As you can see LOTS of opinions on this ..... :agree: don't put jack under shock EYE, UNLESS you put a wood block that's larger than the mounting TABS.... I have always done the rear this way never had an issue ..... Mike

Mikey, I stand corrected. Although using the lower shock mount is OK, even better is the aft end of the frame. It's flat and accessible.

I went on the frame just in front of the muffler. Jacked it up high enough to put a 14 inch 6 x 6 under rear tire. Then removed the jack so I had plenty of room.
