• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

J&M CB Radio

HI, I'm new to the group and now own a RT. I have ridden motorcycles for a while now and decided to get a spyder due to age. I have a J&M CB radio from a previous bike I had and was wondering if anyone has ever installed a J&M CB radio on an RT before. On previous bikes it has been installed using a handlebar mount, but I can't see how that will work on an RT. Any help would be appreciated.

RAM Mount would likely make something that would help. The real issue is if it has the built in PPT button. If so, you may need to contact J&M to see if you can add a remotely located PPT button, like what they supplied with their CASPY 2003 CB. If so, mount the CB on the center of the handlebars with RAM Mounts & the PPT between the left grip & control cluster. If you have to use the built in PPT, you'll have to figure out how to mount it near the left grip or just take you hand off the left grip to press the PTT button while transmitting. If you have a manual shift, you may have an option of mounting on the clutch reservoir.

Welcome & good luck!
