• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not happy about this at all! Why they told their dealers that it would be October and now being delayed until next year.

Starting to lose faith in BRP/Can-Am!

January

Remember with all the issues they want to make sure the 2014's are free of the heat and other issues and also they need to buy time to see if they can fix the 2013 problems, but that is my humble opinion....

Disappointed

It is a 2014 and do you want your dealer fixing problems or the factory?

They shouldn't have to fix anything is this a prototype?
They should not have had them for sale if they were not ready to be sold why tell the dealer to sell them?
This is my third Spyder I traded in my RT Limited and a trailer hoping it would be here at least by Thanksgiving
that's what the dealer told me so I put the money on the table.

I'm going to call my dealer tomorrow and see if there is a reverse button on this sale

Like others here who have lots invested in this I'm getting tired of this bull ****

Well lets see.
GS/RS- DPS issues were fixed after sale. Pretty major recall
RT had major amount of throttle body issues, another major deal fixed after sale.
2013 had ball joint issues right out of the gate and had to be recalled.

So if they can catch something now and fix it I think that's a good thing, sorry you don't see it that way Bro.

Time for a Change

Maybe they just don't need the money right now :dontknow::joke:

I'm just getting tired of the smoke and mirrors.
This Limited unit along with a trailer and accessories Is over $37,000.00
Maybe it's time to put my money in something else that's a little more solid.

I'm sure BRP knew when they did this that there would be guys like you that would bail on the unit but they felt it was worth that risk. I honestly don't know what the issue is but I'm glad they are taking care of it at the factory. Not every dealer has the same quality tech but the factory does.

Well; I can either jump up and down; screaming like a fool... :gaah:
Or I can give them the room that they need to assure us that they've done everything possible to prevent another "2013" debacle...
Guess which course of action I'm taking... ;)

The news is not going to make everyone happy and will probably make some angry enough to cancel a sale if possible.

I am okay with the factory delaying the availablility until they are satisfied that a quality product is going to be delivered to the customers.

The 2014 RT-S will be my fifth and probably my final :spyder2:. I am hoping to have a great experience and would like to be able to drive it a few years and lots of miles. I can wait patiently. At least I can now peruse the 2014 Accessories Catalog.

I am glad that they are holding the 2014s I know that I don't want to go through another experience like I had with my 2013. It is frustrating now but I know we will all be thankful when we don't have any problems when they finally do ship.

Now if BRP needs someone to ride the wheels off a 2014 to be sure they got the bugs out I am ready, willing and able!

At a great personal sacrifice; I'm humbly offering my services as a riding partner for you... ;) :D
After all; wouldn't two opinions be better than one?

A little patience goes a long way. Waiting for your new ride seems like a long wait, but when it finally arrives the waiting will be a distance memory.
