• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ISCI Hand Brake for '21 Spyder RT - Is it worth the money?

Sorry if there's another thread open but I couldn't find one when I searched.

Does anyone have the hand brake installed on their 2020+ Spyder RT, and if so, is it a game changer and worth the money? Or is it just an add-on that is convenient but not really necessary?

Thanks.
Dave

We had installed one on our 2014 RT. It was nice for when I had my feet on the hiway bars, but not really needed. We did not install one on our 2020 and 2021 RT's. We also found no need for hiway bars on these as there is so much more room on the 2020+ RT's.

IMHO it is something else that can FAIL ..... and from what I've heard here from others It is not as strong as the foot brake ..... annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd it's not in-expensive ...... good luck ....Mike

Of course we don't know your situation of your right foot or leg but if you have no problems with either than I would not buy it.

Yes, as others have said above, only you can make the call as to whether it is good value to YOU, QuickDraw.
As a very tall rider, I came close to buying one as I had great difficulty accessing the footbrake on my ‘21RT quickly with my long legs and size 15s. I ended up getting a taller seat and modifying the brake pedal. Others have installed one as they have right foot/leg issues, so it is of great value to them. Is it of value if you don’t have a specific issue? Not in my opinion. You will soon get used to using only your footbrake. I never reach for a handlebar brake any more.

Nothing wrong with my legs or feet. The back however is a different story. I just wanted to see if anyone thought it would be an improvement. I've visited many sites and videos where people claim it's a game changer. It's very expensive and I was curious what the general consensus was.
