• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this the MAP sensor? And what are these hoses?

Hi everyone,

I have my bike apart ( 2009 GS SE5) and replacing a few hoses. Doing the evap canister removal, Fuel filter, and spark plugs.
While I have it open, I wanted to ask about a part.

#1 - the image where I am pointing to the green sensor - is that called a MAP sensor?

#2 - the image where my finger is pointing to a small hose on left side (and yes, one is removed already) - are these throttle body hoses? I see reference in the forum to Maps and vacuum hoses? Is there a difference or are they the same just different name uses?

Thank you

#1 Yes, Map sensor.
#2 Yes, Vac. Hoses.

I'm not sure on this motor but I don't think you have any hoses to the map sensor. The map sensor has an o'ring on the back side that plugs in and an electric plug connector.
