• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this a GREAT deal?

Just found a red 2011 RT-S brand new for $17,995 plus $98 documentation fee. Dealer clearing out inventory. Great deal?

If it sounds to good to be true ! I would check it out and get the final tail lights down the road price first . I think that price for a RTS is about 5-6 grand below list .

It would be a great price if it holds and if it checks out you just got one heck of a SWEEEEEEEET deal.

GOOD LUCK !!!!

Where is it advertised? If Craigslist, BEWARE! :lecturef_smilie:
However another post just showed a brand new 2011 Limited for $23,999. Only fees are a $199 doc fee. No freight or setup. That's $4000 off MSRP.

I saw the ad online and had a conversation with the salesman at the Can Am dealer in New York state. They have another for a thousand more which is an SE5 and a limited for I think $24k. I might be heading to New York this week.

After re-reading your post, sounds like it's probably not an RT-S, but a base or A/C RT or as boborgera says maybe a RS S. Base model MSRP is $21,399 and with the $1000 rebate and good dealer discount, that would put it the $18K range. That puts the price right in line with the Limited price you quoted. There's some great deals out there right now.

If thats the "Out the door" price plus only tax and title and it is brand new, I say "RUN DON'T WALK"! That's a steal!! I just sold an RTS-SE5 for almost $23K used with 6K miles on it.
And why does he want $6000 more for a Limited when the MSRP is only $1200 more? Something doesn't add up.

Are you doing all your communication through e-mail?

I would recommend finding the actual dealer in the phone book and give them a call.

This just sounds way to good to be bonifide. Used 2010's are going for ballpark 20K.

Let us know what happens.

I'm not 100 percent sure what the limited price was..since I wasn't interested in any Can Am semi auto....but I called the dealership and talked to a nice salesperson. No 'talking' was done via email. I also saw the bike on the website in their inventory.

Not going out of biz. Just clearing out their last 3 bikes for the 2012's. No worries on my end. Worst case scenario is they will have a very pissed off customer in their dealership if they are playing games. My wife owns an RS so I know the difference! If it's real they get the money...if not...they get my wrath.

FYI....someone on Spyderlovers is selling a 2010 RT-S for under 19k.

Viper Red is only available on the RTS version.

Good deal

I know this is comparing apples to oranges, but it is more a comment on good dealers and good selling practices. I bought my new 09 GS-S in Jan of 10 for $13,000 with only tax, license transfer and a very nominal dealer prep fee. List was around $16,000 if I remember correctly. He had three left and wanted to clear them out.

Had me at the words $13.000.
