• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you're asking if it came from the factory with one, then the answer is no. I understand that "some" dealers did install them while others did not, but I wouldn't count on it.
It's best for you to look and see for yourself.

My dealership comped a Battery Tender Jr. as part of the OTD deal. The fused lead is directly from the battery and pokes its head out of the frunk liner zipper on the right side of the Spyder.

As mentioned earlier, a few dealers install the tender lead to the batteries. If you do not find the lead, the install is easy. Just remove the frunk basket. That will expose the battery. Purchase a battery tender junior. That comes with the lead. Add the leads to the battery posts and run the plug out under the basket, coming out through the top. It can dangle in the frunk waiting to be used.

Page 150 in the operator's manual has the following note:
NOTE: When fuse 6 is installed, 12 V power outlet is only operational when ignition switch is at ON position. When fuse 7 is installed, 12 V power outlet is always operational.
If you leave the fuse in 6 and 7 blank, you can plug the tender into the power outlet in the trunk when the Spyder is turned off. I've done this for 11 years with no problems.

:agree: I did the same thing on my 2013 RTL & on my current 2017 RTS. Easiest mod you will ever make.
