• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Iron Butt Association

1/1 - 1/1/09

Well, I saw this post, followed the link and it planted a seed.
Then last Monday I realized that I had no real plans for New Years....

Holy Sh*t, it was the toughest ride I have ever taken.
Bonus was staying near The Dragon and riding it for the first time.

The bike group that my husband and I ryde with have an iron butt set up for late May. And yes, I'll be on my Spyder. Anyone close by is sure welcome to join us - it'll be lots of fun!

I'm going to send in all my documentation for the certificate and the back plate.

Do it again? = Hell Yeah!
It has inspired me to go cross country.

Do it again in the winter.....?
... not sure. It was a really tough ride and at my midpoint things got really ugly and I was ready to bail out by crashing at a hotel in OH. It took way longer than I expected, the temps never rose above 30 and it was 14 when I got home. It was without a doubt a life altering experience.

love to join you sounds like it would be a blast, please keep us up to date as far as when see ya in daytona in feb:spyder:
