My wife and I went on a 225 mile ride today. We used the iPod hooked up in the trunk the whole time. We stopped twice for gas and once to eat, and the iPod continued to work when we resumed. The problem is, when we got back to our town, we stopped for about 10 minutes to stretch our legs. When I started the Spyder back up, the iPod would not play. I turned the Spyder off, and restarted, thinking it might reset it. It did not. When we got home, I checked the iPod, and there was a message on it saying "This device does not work with iPod Touch". I unplugged the iPod and plugged it back in, turned the Spyder back on, and it worked. Weird. Has anyone else had this happen? I have an iPod Touch 4th gen.
