• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the settings on the iPod it's self- volume. I know with my phone I can adjust both speakers & volume on both bike / phone. Same goes for my Sirius satellite radio too!

Just the way it is. It takes a few seconds to reach the previously set volume. If your neighbors think it is bad, they should hear it through my helmet speakers! One of the difficulties with doing things digitally is that it takes time to initialize the program. It is not like an old-fashioned rheostat, that stys where you set it. The program has to read the setting and respond. They could probably have defaulted to zero volume, but they didn't.

mine one works perfect - its the RT of a friend - maybe a software default ??

Mine goes loud. It is variable, though. Sometimes it quiets down within a split second, and sometimes it takes several seconds. I suspect that depends on where it is in the program...or possibly what other subroutines are running concurrently. Maybe it varies between firmware versions. While we all should have the latest and "greatest" update, it is a fact that we don't all visit the dealer that often.

Mine does not go loud like that on power up. As suggested it might be the iOS version your on. My iPod 4th gen is on iOS 6.1.2.
