There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Depends on whether you mean in use or not. Most iPod versions charge while in use, unless the connector is not completely seated and latched. When turned off, apparently some do and some don't...depending on the iPod model, the connecting cable, and the year/model of Spyder. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to this so far.

It DOES NOT charge my iPod Touch on the 2011 RT, because if I don't ride for a few days its dead.

It DOES charge on a 2011 RT-Limited. Because I plug my Ipod touch gen4 in there
when it's absolutely dead from not using it all winter,,, and then I leave it pluged in the trunk all summer,,,
it gets fully charged after just a little bit of ryding,,, and that's all I listen to all summer!
Maybe there is something wrong with your ipod cable or maybe check your ipod battery? Just saying.

I got an iPod and connection plug with my 2010 RT-S. It came with the bike with an inscription on the back. My understanding is that it doesn't charge with the bike turned off.

Are you turning it off after you ride? Turning the bike off does not power off the iPod.

:agree:, the iPod stays on when the Spyder is switched off with a message that its safe to unplug. When you start the Spyder again it should run from the power provided by the cable and charge up again.

The cable they gave me when I bought it is different from the replacement I had to get when it broke, this one splits in a Y, but my ipod touch 4 discharges unless I turn it off when I park at night. doesn't appear to be taking a charge while using it. when we drove to Co and Mo this summer I had to take it off and charge it at night or it would be dead in the am when we started out. :dontknow:
